a) Analyze stylistic devices in random songs through a game of Bingo.
  • Use your headphones. Go to chosic.com to find a random song generator. Decide whether you want to listen to all songs or just specific genres.
  • Either click here or on the picture below to open the game of Bingo.
  • Listen to a few randomized songs.

a) Lady Luck decided your fate: Choose one set of stylistic devices and incorporate them into your writing.

Set 2: hyperbole | enumeration | climax | repetition
Set 3: allusion | personification | euphemism | paradox
Set 4: irony | sarcasm | understatement | antithesis

b) Write verse 1, pre-chorus, chorus, and verse 2 of your own song.

  • Incorporate the slot machine's stylistic devices.
  • Decide on a rhyme scheme as songs usually rhyme.
  • Export your document (Document Export Page).
  • Upload your exported document here.

c) Present your song to the rest of the class.

  • Don't sing.
  • Let the other students guess the stylistic devices you've incorporated.
