Task 1


a) Decide on a topic for the speech competition.
b) Hand it in here.


c) Briefly present your topic in class. Give a reason why this topic is important to you.



Task 2


a) Open a text-generating AI of your choice. Ask the following prompt: "Create a vocabulary list of three important words on the topic of [insert your topic here] with the German word, the English word and an English example.
b) Copy and paste this list into the bullsheet.


In the vocabulary list you created together as a class, you’ll find the most important words from your classmates’ topics. This will help you better understand their speeches later on.

 

Task 3



a) Answer the interview questions on your speech topic. Download the file (document export page) and save it.

b) Work together with a partner and give each other feedback on your interviews.
c) Upload your interview here.


  • If you don't know how to create a valid argument, go to section 2.1.
  • If you don't know the argument types Factual Argument, Argument by Analogy, Normative Argument, Argument by Authority, and Counterargument, go to section 2.2.
  • If you don't know how to comment on a topic, go to section 2.3.
  • Look up words on dict.cc.
  • Check your spelling and grammar using a spell checker.
