Getting started: WoW
a) Analyze the ad for your upcoming speech competition based on register, tone, and stylistic devices.- Think about regiser: Who is the target audience? Is the text formal or informal?
- Think about tone: What emotions does the text and the picture evoke?
- Think about stylistic devices: Are there any repetitions, metaphors, similes etc.?
