Emma is a teenager from the UK who visits her friend Jake in the USA for a week. During dinner, Jake talks about a new movie he loves and asks Emma what she thinks of it. Emma wants to be polite, so she says it was "interesting." In her mind, this means she didn't really like it, but she doesn't want to hurt Jake's feelings. Jake, however, believes Emma liked the movie because she didn't say anything bad about it. Later, when they are with Jake's friends, he tells them that Emma praised the movie. Emma feels awkward because she realizes Jake misunderstood her. She wishes she had been more direct in her answer so that Jake would understand her true feelings about the movie.
