Case 2

Jake is 16 years old and loves hanging out with his friends. One day, while they are at the park, his friends pull out cigarettes. They start smoking and laughing. Jake has never smoked before and knows it is not good for his health. However, his friends say, "Come on, Jake! Just try it! Everyone does it!"

Jake feels nervous. He doesn’t want to be the only one who doesn’t smoke. He worries that his friends will think he is weak or uncool. After a few minutes of hesitation, Jake takes a cigarette and tries it. At first, he coughs and feels uncomfortable, but his friends cheer him on. They say, "See? It’s not that bad!"
