Gallery Walk: Step-by-Step Guide

What is a Gallery Walk?

A Gallery Walk is an exciting method to learn together and explore different topics. You will walk around the room and work at different stations.

Steps for the Gallery Walk

1. Choose a Topic
Choose a topic that you have studied in English class. (e.g., Environment, Favorite Books, Cultures)

2. Form Groups
Divide yourselves into small groups of 3-4 students.

3. Prepare Stations
Create one or more stations. There can be a posters, presentations, audio clips, short videos or combinations of these possibilities. Include important information and interesting facts about your topic.

4. Gather Materials
Collect all the materials you need for your station (e.g., paper, pens, markers, computer).

5. Set Up Stations
Set up your stations in the classroom. Make sure there is enough space for the other groups.

6. Perform the Gallery Walk
Start the Gallery Walk! Go from station to station and look at the work of the other groups. Discuss with your group members and take notes.

7. Give Feedback
Give each group feedback on their station. What did you like? What could be improved?

8. Reflect
Sit together after the Gallery Walk and discuss what you learned. What did you like about the different stations?
