      ℹ️ General Information:

Welcome to an engaging and dynamic learning experience – "Words, Not Weapons!" 🛡️ This project is designed to unleash the power of words 💬, offering you, the students, an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of debating. Through a comprehensive classroom debate, participants will not only develop essential skills but also gain profound insights into the significance and rules of debating, rhetoric, argumentation, strategies, judging, and feedback.

Participating in this project goes beyond the conventional classroom experience. It offers a dynamic platform to enhance communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and overall confidence. By exploring the world of debating, you will not only become adept speakers but also informed and analytical thinkers.

Join the journey of "Words, Not Weapons!" and discover the transformative power of effective communication and debate. Let your words be your strongest tool! 💪 Get ready to shine in the realm of words! ☀️✨

You have the choice and can either dive into debating with a lot of prior knowledge as part of the learning project.

If you don't want to take small steps, but still have uncertainties in the learning project, then work your way from learning topic to learning topic (1, 2, and 3) and become an expert in debating. 👩‍🔬

If you prefer to proceed step by step and gradually work through the entire project, then tackle the individual learning steps (1.1, 1.2, etc.) and master the topic that way. ⛖

The individual tasks are sometimes differentiated internally, and you can choose between -level which is higher and bit more difficult than -level which is a bit easier than B-level. Now, have fun battling with words! 🆚✔️

    • Your task:

Your school has a partner school abroad. Based on the Erasmus+ project you have to work together on the topic of globalization. The delegation of your partner school arrives and together you decide to conduct a debate on stage. You have to participate in the debate.

See the following email, which was sent prior to the visitors' arrival.

      E-Mail-Header

      Dear Erasmus+ partners,

I hope this email finds you well. We are excited to inform you that our visiting delegation will soon be arriving to collaborate with you on our Erasmus+ project focusing on globalization. We believe that this partnership will foster enriching discussions and valuable insights into this important topic.

To ensure that our time together is productive and meaningful, we have outlined the tasks that are relevant to prepare for and conduct our upcoming debate on globalization:

We believe that by preparing for our debate on globalization and fostering meaningful interactions between our students, we can maximize the benefits of our Erasmus+ partnership.

The aim is to conduct a debate together:

        • On the motion: "This house believes that globalization has brought more harm than good to society."
        • Divided into Proposition and Opposition teams.
        • According to debating rules and using appropriate argumentation techniques. The basis for the debate is the research and argument preparation regarding the motion.
        • Those who do not participate in the debate act as spectators and evaluate the debate afterward.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further assistance with the preparations. We look forward to engaging in fruitful discussions on this important topic.

      Best regards,

      John Mayer

       Headmaster

      British Partner School
